CORE PROCESS PSYCHOTHERAPY IN TRAINING · NORTH CORNWALL

Space and time to be

Psychotherapy is a place where you can rest, trust and tune into what is going on inside your mind, body, heart and soul. Through sitting together – both in dialogue and in silence – you can gently allow thoughts, feelings and experiences to unfold and express themselves.

My role as a therapist is to witness and support this process, welcoming everything that arises.

The time is yours.
TIME to be.
Time to BE.
Time to be deeply heard, sensed and experienced.
 — Sophie Poklewski Koziell

How can psychotherapy help?

Many of us live with feelings – for instance, restlessness, grief or anger – that hinder our daily lives, cause us distress and damage our relationships.

Psychotherapists believe that some of these arise from the psychological patterning that is formed from our interactions with our parents, family, schooling and peers, as well as the cultures and beliefs that surround us.

We are often unaware of these patterns and how they shape our responses.

The work of psychotherapy is to allow the client to begin to experience their own thoughts and feelings in a safe environment. Through this work a client can begin to become aware of their own patterning and begin to understand their behaviour and way of being in the world.

Ultimately, the role of psychotherapy is to allow a client to feel a deeper level of connection with themselves and to build better relationships with others.

What to expect

Each session lasts an hour. We sit together and begin a process of paying attention to what arises in the mind and body.

This is a talking and being practice. There is a no-touch policy: nothing in the work involves physical contact.

£40 per session (a discounted rate while I am in training)
